Let Wisdom befall on me

Updated: Jan 7, 2022

Oh my Lord, as wisdom sits upon her throne let her come down and come over me. Beset her as an integumentary layer that nourishes, provides and protects my identity of your beloved child. Be generous Lord in your giving. Let her come upon me like a rushing wind. Please let her stay upon me as the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary. As the Holy Spirit never left Mary, and became her spouse please allow Wisdom to become a part of me so that I can become a part of you through love, charity and obedience. Let the beauty of Wisdom befall upon me Lord, let her transform me into the one who You have called me to be. Amen.

"Resplendent and unfading is Wisdom,

and she is readily perceived by those who love her, and found by those who seek her. She hastens to make herself known to those who desire her; one who watches for her at dawn will not be disappointed,

for she will be found sitting at the gate. For setting your heart on her is the perfection of prudence, and whoever keeps vigil for her is quickly free from care; Because she makes her rounds, seeking those worthy of her, and graciously appears to them on the way, and goes to meet them with full attention. For the first step toward Wisdom is an earnest desire for discipline; then, care for discipline is love of her; love means the keeping of her laws; To observe her laws is the basis for incorruptibility; and incorruptibility makes one close God thus the desire for Wisdom leads to a kingdom. If, then, you find pleasure in throne and scepter, you princes of peoples, honor Wisdom, that you may reign as kings forever" Wisdom 6:12-21.

"She adds to nobility the splendor of companionship with God; even the Ruler of all loved her. For she leads into the understanding of God, and chooses his works" Wisdom 8:3-4.

Praying
Words of
Everyday Grace

Words are powerful!  God literally used words to create the Universe by speaking creation into existence.  In Genesis 1:3 God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. What a beautiful act of love! God uses this communication through the Holy Spirit to "speak" sanctity into us! To transform us from sin to holiness.

Graces are the supernatural gifts God gives us to help us gain eternal salvation.

When we surrender ourselves to God we can be led by these truths and be transformed to  become more like Jesus!
