"Beloved, there’s a time when the soul becomes so surrendered and so filled up with the grace, light and love of God that the body and it’s needs are second to the soul. This is when the soul has become unified with God and His Will. The worry of worldliness or needs of the body are no longer a concern. The mind is at peace and trusts God. The body is fed off the the soul and the soul is fed off the unity it has with Christ. If the soul has completely surrendered and is totally unified with God the love that the soul is inhaling and exhaling gives such power to the soul that all the needs of the body to be sustained, no longer are needed. The love of God is so powerful all life needed to sustain the body can come from His love and His love alone. Beloved, it was His love alone that created and has sustained everything we know. Therefore, isn't it that same love that can sustain His creation? It is humanity that believes it must have worldly pleasures to be sustained. But for a few souls, they have been blessed to live freely and know that God’s love is so powerful, so complete, that it can sustain everything. The unity and the pureness that a soul will obtain when it only ingests the love of God is sweeter than any honey. This takes total divine trust."

"Just so, there are souls so infirm and accustomed to think of nothing but earthly matters, that there seems no cure for them. It appears impossible for them to retire into their own hearts; accustomed as they are to be with the reptiles and other creatures which live outside the castle, they have come at last to imitate their habits. Though these souls are by their nature so richly endowed, capable of communion even with God Himself, yet their case seems hopeless. Unless they endeavor to understand and remedy their most miserable plight, their minds will become, as it were, bereft of movement, just as Lot’s wife became a pillar of salt for looking backwards in disobedience to God’s command.” St. Theresa of Avila

For the Lord gives wisdom;

from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

He holds success in store for the upright,

he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,

for he guards the course of the just

and protects the way of his faithful ones. Proverbs 2:6-8

Praying
Words of
Everyday Grace

Words are powerful!  God literally used words to create the Universe by speaking creation into existence.  In Genesis 1:3 God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. What a beautiful act of love! God uses this communication through the Holy Spirit to "speak" sanctity into us! To transform us from sin to holiness.

Graces are the supernatural gifts God gives us to help us gain eternal salvation.

When we surrender ourselves to God we can be led by these truths and be transformed to  become more like Jesus!
