Oh, Holy Court!

Angels are among us! They are a great gift to us from our Creator God! They adore and worship God. They obediently follow orders from God to fulfill God's Divine Will. They aid in God's salvific plan by guiding and enlightening us to know and love God and to live holy lives. Angels guard us from evil. Our Catholic faith believes in nine choirs of angels. The first sphere of angels includes the Seraphim, Cherubim and the Thrones. This sphere serves God. The Second sphere includes the Dominions, Virtues and the Power of Authority. They help guide creation. Part of this task specifically for the Powers of Authority is making sure that power is distributed among the human race. The third sphere includes the Principalities, Archangels, and Angels. Their jobs are to protect, serve and guide. Specifically, the Principalities protect territories and the Church. The Archangels protect nations and governments where the Angels are for specifically to aid us.

What hope it is to picture this whole army of angels that God has created to enlighten, guard and guide us in this fallen world!

“Behold, I will send an angel before you to protect you on your way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. Pay heed to him and listen to his voice and do not rebel against him for he will not pardon your transgression since my name is in him. If you listen to his voice and do what I will tell you, I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

“When my angel goes before you and leads you to the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, I will destroy them. Exodus 23:20-23

In the Book of Mathew Jesus tells His apostles that we can ask for help of the angels. "do you not suppose that I can call on my Father to provide at a moment's notice more than twelve legions of angels?" (Mat 26:5).

SO...................... LET US PRAY!

"Oh Holy Court who loves to guard and guide. Who’s obedience and love for justice aids us and guides us to eternal salvation. We thank you and we honor you and we bless you! Wake up the souls of the ones you guard and guide, wake up the families, the cities and the nations of the ones you’ve been assigned to. Lead and guide our souls from the blindness and the deafness that have unconsciously enveloped the souls of the lost and the lukewarm! Gather them into the light so that they may band with the righteous and battle with the warring angels to protect souls from eternal death.
